Planet Press was quality endorsed by Standards Australia to ISO9001:1994 and accredited in December 1995.

We continually upgrade our quality procedures to include technology improvements; and have implemented improved customer focus goals and internal auditing procedures. After much consideration, we opted to discontinue our certification with SAI Global and the Standards Australia quality system. We are not however discontinuing our efforts with regard to our quality system. In many ways we are improving it, to ensure goals and outcomes are achieved.

Planet's QA system improvements include:

Continual hands-on commitment, with on-the-job assessments rather than periodic document trail techniques

Self-management and team building strategies

Increased employee involvement

Increased customer focus and involvement

We have redesigned our QA system to include some of the components of the new ISO:2000 model and include the principles of our Quality Policy Statement to produce a working, user friendly QA system for Planet Press - management, customers, employees and suppliers.

We have introduced our new QA Print Quality System logo and will now proudly display it wherever we would have printed the "five tick" Standards Australia mark in the past.

Planet's QA committee meets monthly and involves members from numerous internal departments including Sales, Management, Estimating, Print Production, Finishing and Despatch. Pictured centre above is auditor Colin Marsh
